You must take a look at these. Sili Latu took them for us in the photography studio at BYU. And yes, I agree...Sili is AMAZING! We had so much fun. Thanks, Sili!
Yesterday, at 21 months old, Kaylee went to the potty for the first time. Mark wanted me to snap a photo of her first time on the potty, but I figured I'd pass and save her the embarrassment later in life (since we all know, that picture would have somehow found it's way into the graduation or wedding video). We understand that this is late for some, and early for others, but we believe it's the perfect time for her. And since a post is just not the same without a picture, here are a few that hopefully make you smile!
I forgot I had these pictures! Kaylee got a balloon when we went shopping at Macey's, but accidentally popped it when we got home. It made her so sad, I just had to get a picture of the expression she was giving Mark and I!
Now that Kaylee's somewhat old enough to understand that her actions have consequences, Mark started putting her on time out. When she does something naughty, she gets sent to time out. Don't worry, we give her a few chances before she is put on time out. We have a special corner of our house where she gets to sit and "think" about her actions for 2 minutes (apparently it's 1 minute for every year of their age...Mark likes rounding up). Surprisingly, she sits there for the bulk of her 2 minutes before she starts rolling around, working on an escape plan. We just tell her to go to time out, and she walks to her corner, sits down, and puts her face in her hands. Now, we need to work on potty training. Anyone have any ideas before we start on that adventure?!
I figured I would begin posting again, now that summer is coming to a close. It's been a great and busy summer for us. Here's our summer in a nutshell. Enjoy!
We started off by going home for my sister's high school graduation.
Congratulations Aunty Kathy!
We spent some time at Liberty Land, a small kiddie place in Utah. We played at the park a lot, and ate many of our dinners there too.
We let Kaylee take some pictures.
We participated in Provo's 4th of July festivities, including the hot air balloons launch, the Grand Parade, and the Festival.
We waited for our favorite guy to get off of work from his job at the hospital.
We played with balloons.
We laughed A LOT.
We had tea parties using easter eggs.
We took my brother out to breakfast during his layover in Salt Lake, on his way to the Brazil MTC. He's been called to Santa Maria, Brazil.
Good Luck Uncle Aaron!
I quit my job to stay home with this little munchkin.
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary! And, we got new cell phones (with our same numbers).
Upon being introduced to the blogging world, we realized this would be a delightful way to keep our friends and family informed of the happenings in our life. With our beautiful daughter, we have found each and every day to be different and exciting. We invite you to follow along (and comment) as we document our memories for you. Welcome to our blog!
